Dragapult Wins Lima SPE
Dragapult takes another one.
The 2026 Lima Pokémon TCG Special Championships wrapped up with another big result for Dragapult ex, as local player Diego Varea won the Masters title in a 524-player field.
The finals were a full Dragapult mirror, with Varea defeating Fernando Chapoñan to take the event. That makes Lima another strong data point for Dragapult, which also won the Melbourne Regional this weekend.
Varea’s run was not a clean undefeated sweep. He finished the event at 12-2-1, but came alive in top cut, beating Fernando Loayza Cáceres, Day 1 leader Sergio Torres, Julian Nicolas Conde Borjas, and finally Chapoñan in the finals.
It was also a strong weekend for the Peruvian scene overall, with the entire Top 5 made up of local players. But the bigger meta takeaway that after wins in both Melbourne and Lima, Dragapult is still very much the deck to beat.
