Gundam Card Game Reveals Four Starter Decks, GD07, and Anniversary Set
Four Starter Decks, GD07: Blazing Fist, a new Gundam universe, and an Anniversary Set all headline the latest Gundam Card Game announcements.
Gundam Card Game’s anniversary broadcast announced several new products, starting with four new Starter Decks arriving on September 25.
Each deck has its own theme: Aquatic Assault [ST11] is Blue/Purple and centered on underwater units like Char’s Z’gok; Raging Onslaught [ST12] is Red/Purple close-combat with Gundam Epyon; Silent Barrage [ST13] is Green/Red and brings Qubeley’s into the game; and Heavy Dominion [ST14] is Green/White, built around heavily armed units such as The-O. Bandai says all four are designed to work in both regular and multiplayer games.
The next Booster Pack, Blazing Fist [GD07], was also revealed. It will feature Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team, though the rest of the set is still under wraps.
They also announced that Units and characters from the upcoming GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT game and Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO anime will eventually join the game. Details are scarce for now, but it is a fun tease for something completely new, plus a little hype for those waiting for the game.
Finally, Japan is getting a 1st Anniversary Set through Premium Bandai. It includes 10 new-illustration cards, Resource, EX Resource, and EX Base cards, a faux-leather card case, playmat, two 70-card sleeve packs, and a storage box. The EX Resource features Lacus Clyne with different artwork for the Japanese, English, and Simplified Chinese versions. Preorders open July 27 at noon JST for ¥15,400, with regional availability still to be announced.
