Gundam Eternal Nexus: Cards We Want to Pull This Weekend
Eternal Nexus is here, and the release event gives players four EB01 packs to chase cards like Exia and Hi-Nu Gundam.
Gundam Card Game’s ST10 & EB01 Release Event starts this weekend. At the events, each participant gets the newest Generation Pulse ST10 starter deck, along with 4 packs of Eternal Nexus EB01. And I’m pretty excited about it. Not only because I get to play, but also because I’ll open some packs. Who doesn’t like that, right?
Of the new cards, one I hope to pull is the Green/White Exia. Green/White was my first deck (and everyone else), so there’s that. But also, the card looks fun. It has Breach and an effect that allows you to destroy the unit at the end of the turn to deploy 3 AP2 - HP2 tokens. That gives the deck a nice mix of defense, pressure, and an annoying sticky presence.

On top of that, in the game this set is based on, SD Gundam G Generation Eternal, Exia was the very first unit I pulled, so I’m kind of biased towards wanting it.
There are other cards worth having in the pre-release deck. Gaplant TR-5 “Hrairoo” Unit 1 is a cheap Blocker, and those are always welcome. Gundam Plutone can give Breach to another attacking Unit, which feels like the kind of effect that could matter if the right board state exists. Character Requests is also not flashy, but more ways to draw are always worth having, especially when it also has a Burst effect.

The official Gundam website has a few sample decks exploring some of the cards you might get. For example, this one features the Gundam Exia (EX) unit. Others include Blue/White Hi-Nu Gundam (EX), a unit capable of attacking more than once in a turn, and a deck with Green/White Psycho Haro (EX), which gives Blocker to each unit.

So yes, lots of things to watch. But for this weekend, we also just want to open cool cards. Give us Exia, give us the weird tools, give us a reason to sleeve Green/White again. Eternal Nexus is finally here. Have fun!
