Championship Series 2027 begins in September, with Yokohama confirmed for September 20-22 and current Championship Point rewards locking in on August 31.
Pokémon Card Game Japan has started outlining its next competitive season. Championship Series 2027 begins in September 2026, leading into the 2027 Pokémon World Championships.
The biggest change is that most Champions League events will run across three days. Masters players can choose either Day 1 or Day 2 for their qualifier, with the top players from both days moving on to Day 3. Junior and Senior divisions will generally remain one-day events.
The first announced stop is Champions League 2027 Yokohama, running September 20-22 at Pacifico Yokohama.
There is also a quick reminder for players wrapping up the current series. Championship Point rewards are based on totals as of August 31: players with 30 to 79 points receive the Celebratory Fanfare promo, while players at 80 points or more also receive a Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex promo. Make sure your Player's Club information is up to date before the deadline.
