Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration Announced for September 16
Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration releases worldwide on September 16, with all-foil cards, 30 Pikachu illustrations, Futuristic rares, and classic reprint.

Pokémon has announced Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration, a new expansion celebrating 30 years of the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
The set releases worldwide on September 16, 2026, and that is already a big deal by itself. According to Pokémon, this will be the first Pokémon TCG expansion to have a simultaneous global release, meaning players and collectors around the world will open it at the same time.
Every card in the expansion will be foil, including Basic Energy, and each booster pack will include one of 30 different Pikachu cards with unique illustrations. The first three revealed Pikachu cards feature artwork by OKACHEKE, Yuu Nishida, and Atsuko Nishida.

There is also a new rarity coming: Futuristic rare. The first revealed cards feature Mewtwo and Mew, both illustrated by Japanese artist YOSHIROTTEN. The set will also include illustration rares for Pokémon like Espeon, Umbreon, Lapras, Drifloon, Zorua, and Lycanroc, plus new Pokémon ex cards for Greninja and Sylveon.

Longtime players also get a nostalgia hook, with classic cards like Base Set Charizard and Pikachu & Zekrom-GX returning. These reprints will not be Standard legal, but they can be used in formats where the original versions are allowed.
