Ramp Dragoncraft Led the SVO SEAO Field, but the Top 8 Tells Another Story
Almost half of SVO 2026 Season 2 SEAO's 312 players brought Ramp Dragoncraft, yet Rally Swordcraft and Egg Portalcraft took over the top 8.

SVO 2026 Season's SEAO just had its Preliminary 1 event and the top 8 doesn't look like the field that produced it. Of the 312 players registered, 47% brought Ramp Dragon as one of their two decks, making it the clear deck to beat going in. Rally Sword followed at 40% of players, and the two together were the event's most common lineup with 47 players registered exactly that pair.
Behind the top two sat Crystal Rune (27% of players), Tempo Evolution Forest (25%), and Evolution Haven (23%), a top five that accounts for about four of every five decks submitted. Portalcraft was the most mixed class, with 29 Artifact and 27 Egg decks.
That split aged well. カレー Karee tops the standings at 6-0, one of five undefeated players alongside EMT Zaneric, レン, kon7777, and maxiebon1234, with 奏/REV, MS Glow, and Ryujin close behind at 5-1. Rally Sword is the most common deck among them (four of the eight played it), but the quiet winner is Egg Portal: brought by less than 9% of the field, it put three players in the top 8. Ramp Dragon went the other way, converting the biggest share of the field into just two appearances, and Evo Haven missed the top 8 even though a quarter of players playing it.
A quick note on the deck archetypes: we grouped the 624 lists automatically by how many cards they share, then labeled each group by hand to the best of our knowledge. The few very unique decks were a bit harder to label, but these were fewer than 1%.
Takeaway
Ramp Dragon was the deck everyone planned against, and that planning may be exactly why it underperformed. Rally Sword delivered on its numbers, but Egg Portal looks like the format's best-kept secret, at least until the bracket plays out. We'll be playing it in ladder :).
SVO 2026 AMEO Preliminary 1 starts tomorrow, July 12.
