Shadowverse: WB Announces Masters Cup and BO3 Showdown

Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond has announced two new competitive events, giving ranked players another chance to show off their skills.

The first is Masters Cup Vol.1, which starts on May 29. It is open to players at Master 0 or higher, uses a 2-deck BO1 Rotation format, and asks players to reach 9 wins before taking 2 losses. Winning the event awards the Masters Cup Vol.1 Champion title and, more importantly, a spot in Shadowverse BO3 Showdown.

That BO3 Showdown happens on May 31 and is an invite-only event. It is played in 2-deck BO3 Rotation, starting with Swiss rounds before moving into a single-elimination finals bracket. The winner takes ¥1,000,000, while the runner-up earns ¥300,000, with prizes also going down through Top 16.

So, grind into Master, take a shot at Masters Cup, and try to qualify for the BO3 Showdown. For players looking to test themselves beyond ranked, this is probably the next big thing.
