OP16 Teach earns its first Regional title as wickedd_tcg wins the One Piece Card Game Gen Con Regional.
wickedd_tcg won the One Piece Card Game Gen Con Regional on August 1 with OP16 Marshall.D.Teach, giving the new Black/Yellow Leader its first Regional title.
Teach arrived in OP16 THE TIME OF BATTLE, a format that so far has been dominated by decks like OP11 Nami, and OP16 Luffy. This Teach involves a defensive game plan: its Characters gain cost during the opponent's turn, while Trigger cards can redirect attacks away from key bodies. Gen Con is the deck's first major proof that the idea can hold up through a full Regional.
The winning list is available below. It will be interesting to see whether this is the start of a real Teach run, or simply a very strong weekend for one player and one list.
