Gundam Card Game Reveals New Rarities for GD05: Freedom Ascension
GD05: Freedom Ascension introduces the game's first LR Pilot and a new rarity called Link Rare.
Gundam Card Game has shared several new details about GD05: Freedom Ascension, and the upcoming booster looks like one of the game’s most collector-focused (and honestly cool-looking) sets so far.
The set will include two LR cards, with Master Asia becoming the Gundam Card Game’s first LR Pilot card. It will also introduce a new rarity called Link Rare, or LKR.
Link Rares are alternate-art versions of cards already included in the set. Their artwork combines a Unit with its corresponding Pilot into a single design. The first example shown features Jagd Doga (Quess Paraya Custom) alongside Quess Paraya.
GD05 will also celebrate the game’s first anniversary with two types of SP cards. One group will feature Pilots, while the other will focus on EX Resource cards.
Finally, Freedom Ascension will contain five LR++ cards, the largest number included in a Gundam Card Game set so far.
Freedom Ascension releases on July 24.
