Major Card Game Tournaments This Weekend: May 23-24
A quick look at the biggest Pokémon, Shadowverse, One Piece, and Lorcana events happening this weekend in the games we cover.
There are plenty of tournaments happening this weekend, but these are the big ones in the games we cover: Pokémon, Shadowverse, One Piece, Lorcana, and Gundam.
Pokémon players have the Melbourne Regional Championship, running May 22-24. It is the third and final Oceania Regional of the 2026 season, with Championship Points and Worlds invites on the line. After Utrecht gave us a Lopunny Dudunsparce win in a Dragapult-heavy field, Melbourne should be another good read on where the format is actually heading.
Shadowverse also has a major finish coming up. Shadowverse Online Championship 2026 May returns on May 24 for Day 2 and finals. Day 1 was led by Evo Forest at 20.6%, so the big question is whether the most-played deck can actually convert, or if Ramp Dragon, Egg Portal, or Abyss can take the title instead.
One Piece Card Game has a stacked weekend too, with Treasure Cup Orlando on May 22, plus Regionals in Orlando, Venice, and Sydney on May 23. Purple Enel has been the deck everyone is talking about lately, and this weekend should give players a much clearer idea of whether it really is the format’s biggest problem.
Lorcana rounds things out with Enchanted Citrus Clash in San Diego on May 23-24, one of the first bigger events after Wilds Unknown released. With a $10,000 prize pool on Saturday, it should be an early look at which new cards are actually making it past release-week hype.
